Hawaiian Smoothie

Mornings are hard when you’re pregnant and avoid eating at 2:00 AM. I’ve found smoothies are a great option for filling an upset stomach. While for a few weeks I consumed the same smoothie every morning, I realized some variety in my diet would do some good.

From the typical oatmeal banana cinnamon roll smoothie that I love was great, I started playing with different fruit combinations and found some that are quite fantastic. This most recent discovery is one that is a treat in a glass.

I had some canned pineapple left in the fridge from dinner the other night, and thought I should throw it in the smoothie. I’m glad I did because it turned out great and no waste!

I’m happy to say this was my first ‘meal’ of 2019!

Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 3 minutes
Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

1/2 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
3/4 cup milk (more to thin texture)

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender
  2. Blend for 30 seconds
  3. Serve

Hope you enjoy as much as I did. Let me know if you modified the recipe or have any suggestions!
