Healthy Vegan Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal
This healthy cinnamon roll inspired vegan oatmeal dish is flavored like a cinnamon roll without all the added sugar. Sweetened naturally, this is delicious without the added sugar.
- 3/8 cup steel-cut oats
- 1 cup plant milk
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 chopped dates
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 tbsp mix seeds (chia, flaxseed, hemp hearts, etc)
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Optional dollop of non-dairy vanilla yogurt
In a small saucepan, mix together oats, milk, salt, and dates. Bring to a light boil.
Stir occasionally, about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, add the cinnamon and seeds. Stir well. Continue cooking until you've achieved the desired texture.
Remove from heat and spoon into a serving bowl.
