One thing that I’ve gotten really interested in since creating this site is recreating some of my favorite foods either out at restaurants or items for purchase. One of my favorite recreations are cold brew coffee recipes from Starbucks and Caribou. The most popular recipe I’ve created is a SUPER EASY copycat of the Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold brew. It uses natural sweetener and cream so it’s easy to make and doesn’t require any special coffee syrups or sweeteners. That is the first of my 10 best copycat recipes included in this post.
10 Best Copycat Recipes
1. Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
This recipe is easy to make and can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to one week. What you’ll need to make this recipe is a way to make cold brew coffee. I use a cold brew maker like this.
2. Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies
These are one of my favorites! Thin mints are a healthier cookie and Girl Scout cookie season gets me suckered in every time. These are healthier, gluten-free, vegan, and a great option for year round Girl Scout cookies.
3. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Lärabars
My favorite Lärabar is the chocolate chip cookie dough version. These are easy to make with a base of dates. They are much cheaper to make at home and keep for a week in the fridge.
4. Starbucks Salted Cream Cold Foam
This is my husband’s go-to drink at Starbucks when the season for Irish Cream cold brew is over, and I figured out how to make it at home just perfectly! This is another one of the most popular recipes I’ve released, and with good reason.
5. Girl Scout Samoa Cookies
These samoa copycat cookies are a vegan, gluten-free, and healthier option to the delicious original! They are easy to make and they will disappear, my husband was asking for another batch just a day after I first made these. 😛
6. Starbucks Irish Cream Cold Brew
When we went to Starbucks around the time of St. Patrick’s day to get ourselves one of these to share, we were totally BAFFLED that the Irish cream season was already over! Like the day of the Irish can’t even be celebrated with this delicious drink?! So I took a few tries at recreating it at home without store-bought Irish cream syrup.
7. Blaze Vegan Pesto Pizza
This recipe is a little loose as a copycat since Blaze is so customizable, but in relation to what I get at Blaze, this is almost identical! I skip the cheese, although you can certainly top this with cheese or vegan cheese. Load up the veggies and homemade pesto for a delicious personal pizza!
8. Caribou Coffee Iced Crafted Press
This one is one of the EASIEST recreations I’ve ever done. When I was working (pre-pregnancy) I would take a trip almost daily on my break to the closest Caribou and would get the same drink every day, this one! I became friendly with the barista and she told me how they make it. The only mystery was their sugar-salt mix, which I think I got down pretty well in this recreation! The key to this recipe is using a good blender. I’ve used a ninja, but now use a Vitamix and it is SO worth the investment!
9. Chipotle Style Guacamole (5 Ingredients)
This one is my favorite snack of the season. We make guacamole all the time now that I figured out this delicious way to make it. The key is to mix together everything but the avocado and then fold it in! Check out the recipe so you can make Chipotle-style guacamole at home too!
10. Starbucks Iced Latte (Two Flavors)
Since discovering cold brew coffee, I have really not ordered anything else from the coffee shops, however an iced latte is still delicious on occasion. This iced latte uses instant coffee so you don’t need a fancy espresso machine to make it at home. Check out the recipe for an original iced latte, caramel, or vanilla flavored!
Listed above you will find 10 of my all-time favorite recreation recipes. These are all vegan friendly and several are gluten-free. If you are looking for some fun trying to make your favorites at home, give one of these a try! Let me know what you thought if you try any of them, and be sure to give them a rating if you can! It helps me improve so recipes are better for you in the future!
Thanks for reading about my 10 best copycat recipes. 🙂
