Everyday I’ve been waking up feeling hungover and nauseated. This baby girl is causing me all sorts of issues. I only wish I had figured out this trick sooner. Coconut water is extremely refreshing, and getting it without any added sugar or other ingredients makes it a natural option to help rehydrate. Shout out to my awesome co-worker for sharing this with me. I have tried coconut water before (my mother-in-law drinks it quite a bit), and the plain flavor of it is not super appealing to me. However, blended in a fruit smoothie, it is pure deliciousness!

In this bitter cold north it’s been so cold and dry it’s hard to stay hydrated, especially overnight. Waking up daily feeling hungover is not the easiest thing in the world, but smoothies with coconut water have seemed to help me settle my sick stomach in the morning so I can chug down water. If you’re pregnant and suffering similar, try this out!

When I first gave my husband one to try his reaction was “Wow – that is quite refreshing”. My initial reaction was that this reminded me of our trip to Jamaica and the fresh fruit smoothies they made on the beach. Anyone one want to give it a try?
