Looking through some of my favorites I saw this. Now of course I cannot have one of these for awhile yet with my growing belly, but doesn’t mean I can’t share for you all to enjoy.
This is perfect for a day where you can be outside enjoying some sun, or stuck inside wishing it were summer. 😉
It’s quite simple to make your own margarita at home. I blend mine, but if you don’t have a blender, you can use a shaker and serve over ice.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 6 minutes
Servings: 2 (or one large one)
Ingredients
10 oz raspberries (I prefer fresh, but frozen also work)
4 oz tequila silver (1/2 cup)
2 oz Cointreau
2 oz lime juice
3 Tbsp simple syrup (substitute sugar if you don’t have simple syrup)
1 cup ice (use less if berries are frozen
Directions
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth and no ice chunks remain
- If you are using a shaker, you’ll need to mash your berries prior to shaking
- Add berry puree and liquid ingredients to a shaker and shake for about 10 seconds
- Serve over ice
Substitution/Adjustments
You can swap out raspberries for blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, or mixed to your pleasure.
Let me know what you think!
